In Environmental Design IV, we were asked to create something that combats issues of hand washing. The sink prototype that was created from this was one that eliminates standing water from around the sink and eliminates the germs that come along with traditional hand dryers.
Redesign of Men's Bathroom Faucets at the Gatewood Studio Arts Building:
The entire faucet runs on motion sensors and each end has running water, moving over to the first set of vents which vacuums the excess water off of the hands, and last is the center in which the hands are heated.
